ABOUT ME

I've been an editor and writer for more than two decades. I started my career as an editorial assistant for Simon & Schuster, and then went on to work on staff as a copy editor for Wine Spectator for many years. Eventually, I decided to become a freelancer, and spent more than a decade working with clients large and small. Currently, I'm the editorial lead for a learning and development team at Google.

Published on Mommy Nearest

What Do You Do with a Box of Old Diaries?

Published on Dear Fiction

I’m in the middle of purging my attic of old keepsakes and personal treasures, and it’s been surprisingly easy to dump some supposedly important things I’ve held onto for years. Old textbooks? Straight into the recycling bin. My wedding dress? Donated to Goodwill. But that bin of old journals? I just don’t know what to do with them ... [read more]

Flying Without Kids: 6 Luxuries I Took for Granted

Published on Scary Mommy

I used to love flying. I considered it one of the highlights of going on vacation, a time to relax and look forward to whatever fun activities we had planned as we hurtled through the sky. My husband and I traveled a lot, and before we had kids, we dreamed of bringing them with us on plane trips. Those families with the shrieking children? That wouldn’t be us ... [read more]
